WHAT ARE THE CHOICES? BOLLARDS/POSTS
Bollards are most often used to prevent unauthorised
use of individual parking spaces and to restrict vehicles entering pedestrianised
areas. The installation involves sinking the bollard unit in to the ground,
with the raising and lowering of the unit being controlled by the user's
transmitter or access device.
Common applications for bollard systems:
- Restrict vehicular access in pedestrian areas
- Restrict vehicular access in public and private areas
- Protection against ram raids and car forecourt theft
- Out of hours backup to other vehicle control
- Frequently used entrances and exits to sports centres, golf clubs and car parks
